The latest rumors:
DEI & RCR have merged to improve track performance. Previously, this was done under Dale Earnhardt's leadership to dominate restrictor plate tracks like Daytona & Talladega. In other RCR news, Richard Childress plans to retire from racing, and sell his share of the #3 car to Dale Earnhardt Inc. Tony Sr. was heard saying that in an interview a few months ago.
Scott Riggs will be driving the #10 Valvoline Car for Evernham Motorsports. his car number and sponsor will remain the same, just a new car make and team owner.
After a depressing season for Jeff Gordon (after a Daytona 500 win), Robbie Loomis is moving to Petty Racing, giving Kyle more time to concentrate on driving.
Martin Truex Jr. will be moving to the 15 in the Cup Series replacing Michael Waltrip. This will allow him a qualifying position based on the 2005 points.
These are rumors I hear listening to NASCAR Radio XM 144. These may not be factual, but the word is going around.
